Unfinished Project

Urrghh, sometimes, in my middle project, i feel no-right. The pattern, or the color, or the yarn…just not-right. So i unraveled the yarns, and re-made again, or just stopped and made it into balls again. And am not stick-to-one project person. I like to jump here and there, so i don’t get bored.

Oh, and here’s the list:

1. My friend’s baby blanket

2. Baby blanket, i just keep it for someone’s gift later

3. Shrug, for myself

4. Try to make fingerless gloves, my son wants them sooo badly

5. Learn to knit in 4 needles.

6. Almost forget, finishing my friend’s blanket (she already made it and need my help to sew together)

Notes: needs to complete them soon….as pending some works is my specialities :(

My 2nd sew project

When I went to Japan, I bought a sew kit that consists of couple layes of cotton fabric, and ribbons. Beautiful combo. Then after looking through my inventory suitcase (my hubby named it because the suitcase filled with my yarn collection) and took this kit and plan to make it with my new toy. However the pattern -which is hard to read- is round shape, which i think difficult for me too because my straight line in sewing is not even straight, how come i DO the round way??

I jolt down n try to make my own creation, which is very simple rectangle pouch. With 3 hours and full of sweat….i finish it. Not too perfect, but i make it better than 1st project.

I found the project from Martha Stewart. Its pretty simple, all you need is just a tea towel and elastic band. Then voila, it become as a plastic bag organizer.

My pictures are not good, hate it. But the project quite satisfied me, haha..

My New Toy

This sewing machine is belong to my mum. She didn’t use it for decade. While I’m blogging, I saw many sewing blog that’s inspiring and even make me want to sew. But for now, I still not interest in sewing my own clothes. Too complicated. I don’t think I can handle that. Maybe later, maybe never.

I didn’t know how to operate it, and my mother didn’t help either. So I need to call the man who sell this machine, and I learn the basic like how to attach the needle, how to roll the yarn…and how to clean the machine.

LITTLE BAG

(Ohhh I really love Windows Live Writer….so easy to upload images, little bit hesitate with WordPress, why it’s not easy as it look…And to publish the posting…so easy amd quick!!)

Well, this posting is about my crochet thing. I made this small bag from Japanese pattern, which sometimes easier to follow but little bit dizzy for my eyes. I made this about 3 weeks ago, in one day, then I planned to send it to my sister who lives far far away from me. Because she’s good in knitting, because I wanna share my crochet, because I love her of course. I just posting today, because she just received the package. I thought it’s not surprise if I already posting this couple weeks ago.

Sorry, the picture doesn’t look clear enough. I should added for handle or shoulder strap so my little niece could wear it as a bag.

Recently am in love with eco-tote. Bought some from www.rootote.com and www.envirosax.com (thx to CC, from introduce me to the sax). Then my sister told me that she made her own by knitting. She showed me the pattern. You can find it here. Lucky me, there came in crochet pattern too. I have to learn more about knitting, so I prefer crochet for now.

After 2-3 days, after paused craft for almost 2 months, i finished mine. I think i’ll make more later.

Wow, she DID better than me.

1st MINI BOOK

I always interest in making mini book. I never make one. When I hit the  craft store last year, I bought this Mini Book Kit. It looked like this. Had two sided paper that you can use whatever you want, plus the embellishments.

To make the book, you have to fold it halfway, push into the corner, fold it again, then voila..it become mini book.

Rather than do that, I cut them following the pattern, then put it together forming a book, punch-hole the middle line, then I use the ribbon to make it binded. Here’s the results. I think it’s not bad for amateur (hu..hu..).

My next plan is to fill the mini book with some of mini photos, I’ll posting later.

I didn’t make this. This is my sis’. She showed me that she had finished her daughter’s blanket. I love the colors and that’s knitting, not crochet. The one that I’m still trying to learn.
