Another Blanket

February 20, 2009

This blanket is a gift for my  nephew, for her 1st b’day.

Hope she (or her mom) will like it, love the colors, not too babies, yet funky slightly rock ‘n roll… (try to make her not too girly :p)

Here Comes Mr. Button

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Since the movie was on Golden Globe nomination, I really curious too. Finally not long after the Golden Globe Awards event, the movie arrived here with another movie like The Wrestler and Slumdog Millionare.

The story was about the life of man named Benjamin Button that was born in old human condition. Yes, he born as baby but with  80 years condition like wrinkled skin and grey haired. Plus the catarrac eyes.

Growing bigger, his physic becaming younger and healthier then voila, here’s comes Mr. Pitt. And you know, the girls in the cinema really waiting for him, when he showed up, they like say “aaahhhh…….” (becaouse he really appear in almost after one hour play)

The movie is very long and little bit boring. Too much conversation. But the picture is really beautiful. We don’t have to say much about Mr. Pitt, but his partner here, Cate Blanchett is absolutely stunning. From young till old, she is really beautiful. Her flowing, her move….

The end was very sad. This is one of the movie that I recommend, but please save your time and keep focus. Even the plot is slow, please just enjoy the screen.

Whole Wheat Spaghetti

February 3, 2009

This morning I tried to cook Spaghetti for breakfast. Yesterday I went to groceries and found Whole wheat spaghetti pasta that I thought it’s quite good for my husband diet (he really cut the carbo intake lately).

And you know what? it really suck!!!! I cooked it al dente. But the result is awful. He emptied the plate. Me, as a whole wheat bread and red rice fans, will skip my high fibre pasta :). I prefer the original one.

Last movie I saw is The Bank Job. You can see the trailer here. Another Jason Statham’s movie. Cool film. But I had to see it again someday. Had lots of ‘flashback’ scene so I had to remind which part was it. Based on true story, this film talked about bank robbery in London around 1970. However, the robbers didn’t realize that inside the safe deposit box, contains many of secret, with so many important persons involved.

This movie is very English. His accent was so sexy. You have to watch it.

Book I read lately is Diary of A Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney. It is a novel in cartoons. It is very funny. About a boy’s life, how he face his teenager, his family, his friends. I really fall in love at the first time and I will let my son read it when he is ready. Can’t stop smile and laugh. I recommend this book and can’t wait to see the other books.
