I saw this movie last weekend. It’s sooooo funny. Vegas no doubt is a sin city. And this movie really show it. And I like the plot. Unpredictable. We thought the story was complicated and little bit scary. But it was really simple one. Talked about this guys wanna do Bachelor Party at Vegas, the crazy night became gross after they all woke up, because they really forgot ’bout what happen last night, plus their groom was dissapear….

If you wanna see the guilt pleasure of Vegas, please watch this movie. I heart Vegas…

I heart Macaroon. According to Wikipedia, macaroon or macaron is a traditional French pastry, made of egg whites, almond powder, icing sugar and sugar. This sweet pastry came out of the French courts’ baker’s oven as round meringue-like domes with a flat base.

However, we can’t find many Macaroon store here in Jakarta. One of my favorite is Bakerzin, the macaroons here come in just-perfect size, and I love Hazelnut flavour. Crunchy outside and moist inside.

Another store is Perennial, Macaroon tea house. The sizes here are bigger, but the texture is lit tle bit hard to bite. But I love the presentation. Together with Royal Doulton plates, they really make a good combo. And oh…don’t forget cup of good espresso.

note: the last 2 pictures taken from cellphone. Not bright enough.

Movies recently

August 26, 2009

Here are the movies that I saw recently:

1. UP

Luv it…luv it…very funny…. and gorgeous colors….. The beginning part was very touchy. The happy couple grown  up in marriage until the wife passed away, where the saddest part were, then the old husband, Mr. Frederickson became grumpy, egoist man. The boyscout, Russel, who offer to company the old people, got refused couple times, ’till he accidentally flew with ballons, as Mr. F wanted to travel tried to find waterfall paradise. They became friend at the end.

2. GI Joe

Urgghh bad movies. Actually I came 30minutes late, but I thought, the movie still awful. Destroyed  everything, special soldiers who little bit stupid, who wore too heavy uniform. The  movie was not good as the trailer.

__wanna upload the image, but bad connection__

3. Land of the Lost

UUrgghhh, another bad movies. Bad story, bad theme….and don’t like Will Farrell. There were funny screen that I laugh till my tears burst. When the mosquito bite Farrell neck and exploded, leaving huge, giant red breakout at the back. Silly.

4. The Proposal

Ahhh…at last, I found my new fave. The boss who just fired someone, will deportated by the US Government, ask her assistant to marry her to save her life. Sandra Bullock, awesome as usual, really clicked with Ryan Reynolds, the one who was annoying as a Deadpool in Wolverine. From the story, its very simple yet cliche ending, but who need the serious one when you’re on the day 2 of fasting month?? You have to see…you have to see…

(Ohhh I really love Windows Live Writer….so easy to upload images, little bit hesitate with WordPress, why it’s not easy as it look…And to publish the posting…so easy amd quick!!)

Well, this posting is about my crochet thing. I made this small bag from Japanese pattern, which sometimes easier to follow but little bit dizzy for my eyes. I made this about 3 weeks ago, in one day, then I planned to send it to my sister who lives far far away from me. Because she’s good in knitting, because I wanna share my crochet, because I love her of course. I just posting today, because she just received the package. I thought it’s not surprise if I already posting this couple weeks ago.

Sorry, the picture doesn’t look clear enough. I should added for handle or shoulder strap so my little niece could wear it as a bag.

Recently am in love with eco-tote. Bought some from and (thx to CC, from introduce me to the sax). Then my sister told me that she made her own by knitting. She showed me the pattern. You can find it here. Lucky me, there came in crochet pattern too. I have to learn more about knitting, so I prefer crochet for now.

After 2-3 days, after paused craft for almost 2 months, i finished mine. I think i’ll make more later.

DSC_1378_1My sisters’. The knitting pattern had rectangular base.

DSC04870Mine has circular-base.

Wow, she DID better than me.

I always interest in making mini book. I never make one. When I hit the  craft store last year, I bought this Mini Book Kit. It looked like this. Had two sided paper that you can use whatever you want, plus the embellishments.

To make the book, you have to fold it halfway, push into the corner, fold it again, then become mini book.

Rather than do that, I cut them following the pattern, then put it together forming a book, punch-hole the middle line, then I use the ribbon to make it binded. Here’s the results. I think it’s not bad for amateur (

My next plan is to fill the mini book with some of mini photos, I’ll posting later.

Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen

Yes, The Autobot and Decepticon were here. We watched last month. The first day of the show. And we got the last row means very close to the screen. Urgh…hate it. But I already promise my kids to watch that day. I even couldn’t see clear the movie.

My review: my fave still the Transformes I. The robots were too much variations. And where were the other Autobots when Optimus Prime fought with Blackout, Starscream and Megatron at the wood? And lots of unimportant scene that only showed the Mikaela sexiness. Yes, she’s hot. But looked too old for Sam.

Funny, but not too funny. We saw in 3D. Love 3D.

I like the settings, the casts….especially Cottilard. She’s sooo classic way. Johnny Depp as John Dillinger, a bank robber who really trust and loyal with  the friendship. We know that Depp is really character actor. His appearance balanced with the cold detective Purvis, casted by Bale. Unhappy ending.

I haven’t posting since June 22th. I travelled a lot last month and I will posting the pictures soon. The made me little bit upset, because I already uploaded the files, and not all of them were there. So, I had to repeat and repeat the process again. Otherwise I had to find another share-pics website again.

Last month was my kids school holiday. Thanks God we had quality time together and thanks God too for giving us joyful and happiness and especially healthiness (Is there any word ‘healthiness”???).

Now the kids already start their school day again. Back to routine. Preparing to school, doing errands, finishing works and projects. Just try to think positives and be happy.

August 1, 2009

here’s the list of my newcomer. I haven’t read all of them.

1. The Reader by Bernhard Schlink. I mentioned in my last posting that I really like the movie. So when I see the book, was not thinking anymore, just grab it. And I love tho book as well.

2. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Ditto with list no. 1.

3. The Thrift Book by India Knight. This book is amust-read. Easy and fun too. With lots of information, including the list of weblists, will make you DO more and SPEND less. A very useful read.

4. Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. Haven’t read yet. But like the previous book.

5. Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner. Haven’t read too. She’s an author of In Her Shoes, that the movie was out couple years ago, with Cameron Diaz was on cast.

6. Choke by Chuck Palahniuk. I usually read the reviews of Palahniuk books. And I curious what’s his books like.

Some of books above I bought in half prices. Like Choke and Certain Girls. That’s another reason why I chose them.
