Macaroon

I heart Macaroon. According to Wikipedia, macaroon or macaron is a traditional French pastry, made of egg whites, almond powder, icing sugar and sugar. This sweet pastry came out of the French courts’ baker’s oven as round meringue-like domes with a flat base.

However, we can’t find many Macaroon store here in Jakarta. One of my favorite is Bakerzin, the macaroons here come in just-perfect size, and I love Hazelnut flavour. Crunchy outside and moist inside.

Another store is Perennial, Macaroon tea house. The sizes here are bigger, but the texture is lit tle bit hard to bite. But I love the presentation. Together with Royal Doulton plates, they really make a good combo. And oh…don’t forget cup of good espresso.
